Brandon Coffer, Piano

Brandon Coffer is a staff accompanist at Carson-Newman University. A native of Knoxville, TN, he holds a degree in Piano Performance from Carson-Newman University where he studied with Dr. Mark Hussung and Dr. Ryan Fogg. Mr. Coffer currently holds the position of Resident Pianist for Marble City Opera where he was in productions of Talk to Me Like the Rain and Amelia Lost, both world premieres by Larry Delinger. In past seasons with Marble City Opera, Mr. Coffer performed in The Gift of the Magi, "Opera, Food and Wine" including Bon Apetite by Lee Hoiby and La Bonne Cuisine by Leonard Bernstein. He also acted as MCO's pianist assistant and chorus master on the production of "Ties that Bond," including Introductions and Goodbyes by Lucas Foss, Will You Marry Me by Hugo Weisgall and A Hand of Bridge by Samuel Barber. Other opera credits include Opera Scenes program at Carson-Newman, VESTIVAL 2014, and Dogwood Arts Festival 2015. Mr. Coffer has severed as pianist/organist at Bearden United Methodist and Lincoln Park Baptist Church; he is currently serving at Trinitiy United Methodist Church in Greeneville, TN as accompanist.
